Hickory Landing Creek drains the area east of Rte. 235 and between Clark's Mill Road and Clark's Landing Road - a part of the Patuxent River watershed. Streams in this area generally have worn deeply into the highly erodible soils. Characteristics of streams in this geopgraphical area include steep high banks, sand and gravel streambeds, and fairly good shding from mature trees. Even though these streams carry a good amount of silt and sediments, their water quality is generally fair to good. Early April 2003 - photo courtesy Bob Lewis.
